This worksheet will help you write the hardship letter that you need for your loan modification. A hardship letter is something that all mortgage companies will need to consider you for loan modification. This is an opportunity to appeal to them for a rate and/or balance reduction. It is important that you not use your hardship letter to complain to what they have done or not done for your situation. Also, be honest and represent the facts clearly.
